The African - American Master Artists in Residence Program

(AAMARP) at Northeastern University is a distinguished center for multicultural and performing arts. Established in 1977 by Dana Chandler, AAMARP supports 13 resident artists whose works enriches both the university and the broader African American art community in Boston. The program fosters cultural engagement through exhibitions, concerts, performances, lectures and workshops, and serves as a vital resource for the discussion and development of African Diaspora arts.
